Contest Rules and Regulations
Participants are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations when engaged in volunteer activities. The DCCC disclaims liability from any violations.
Among other things:
-- You may not trespass on anyone's private property without permission.
-- You must leave private property when asked to leave by the owner or renter, even if you had prior permission.
-- You must not misrepresent who you are or what you are doing.
-- You may not unreasonably interfere with anyone's seclusion, including recording individuals when they have a reasonable expectation of privacy.
-- You may not use any copyrighted work in your materials, without first securing written permission from the owner of the copyrighted work.
-- You must comply with all Federal Election Commission regulations in the conduct of your personal volunteer activity. For more information, visit www.fec.gov.
When you submit materials to the DCCC, you agree to grant exclusive and unlimited rights to the DCCC to use, copy, distribute, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, reproduce, edit, modify, translate and reformat your materials. You represent and warrant to the DCCC that you have the full legal right, power and authority to grant these rights, that you own or control the complete rights to the materials you submitted, and that they do not violate the right of privacy or right of publicity of, or constitute a libel or slander against, any person or entity. Finally, you agree to indemnify the DCCC for any breach of the foregoing representations and warranties.
Children under age 18 must have a parent or legal guardian's written permission to submit materials.
